Senior Transition Specialist

We are hiring! Senior Moving Company is DFW's only family-owned full-service moving company with a Senior Move Manager division. We serve the senior population by helping seniors sort, organize, prioritize, space plan, liquidate assets and then unpack and settle-in to their new home. 

You will be part of a core team serving the senior population by providing a wide variety of services to help ease the transition of downsizing or making lateral moves. 

If you are seeking part-time work and can be available on an as-needed basis (flexible schedule) to help clients navigate through what can be one of their most challenging times, we would love to talk to you. 

Position Description: 

• Assess each client’s individual needs, requirements, and limitations 

• Help resolve each client’s special, unique needs through their transition 

• Assist clients as they sort, organize, and prepare for their move 

• Work alongside the moving crew with a Move Manager in unpacking and helping clients set up their new home 

• This position is on a part-time/as-needed basis. Hours could be between 20-35 hours a week. 

Requirements: 

• Compassion for seniors 

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation 

• Cell phone (smart phone with camera preferred) 

• Customer service experience 

• Must be able to regularly lift 30 lbs; bend, kneel and reach; climb stairs and ladders; wear PPE as required.

• Ability to commute throughout the DFW metroplex 

Skills Needed: 

• Compassion for people, elderly alike 

• Organizational skills and/or basic design knowledge 

• Special reasoning and common sense. 

• Detailed oriented. 

• Strong communication and customer service skills 

• Strong character, integrity and trustworthiness are a must 

• Professionalism 

• Physical capabilities (Must be able to regularly lift 30 lbs) 

• Leadership Skills 

• Reliable transportation
